Artist Statement

I work in screen printing because it allows me to be repetitive. This repetition leads to refinement, opening the door to new interpretations. It is as if I am learning a new language. I push and pull, again and again, to assemble a collection of shapes and colors to speak to people. Thoughts, feelings, and experiences appear with ink and paper. My work fits in the gaps that words can't fill.
